Firehouse Event Rules

The Firehouse venue room can accommodate a maximum of 78 persons with the bay doors closed and 120 persons with the bay doors open.

Firehouse rental includes use of 96 chairs, 16 tables and use of the kitchen and Bridal Suite on the day of the event.

Set-up can begin at noon the day before your event, and clean-up must be completed by noon the day after your event. 

Use of the venue on the day of the event is from 9 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.

The Firehouse must be completely vacated by 9:30 PM on the day of your event.

Rental of the Firehouse is limited to the Firehouse property only and does not include access to the lake, the campgrounds, the park, or the island. 

The proximity of campgrounds and local residences to The Firehouse is such that venue sounds, specifically music, must be kept below certain levels.

 

All music and amplified sound must end by 8:30 p.m. - no exceptions.

Decorations, streamers, photos, lights, etc., may not be nailed, stapled or taped to the venue or property belonging to LAKE CUYAMACA unless approved by LAKE CUYAMACA management and must be done in such a way as to not damage the building, deck, or landscaping.

NOT ALLOWED: Artificial petals/leaves, glitter, confetti, rice, mylar balloons, candles, fireworks, tiki torches.

ALLOWED: Flameless battery-operated candles, latex balloons.

ALLOWED but only outside of the Firehouse: Sterilized birdseed, native flower petals, lavender buds, bubbles, bio-rice.

Smoking is permitted only in the designated outdoor smoking area on the helipad. Due to LAKE CUYAMACA’S location in a high fire danger area, smoking may be banned during fire season.

Pets may be included in a wedding ceremony at the firehouse. Clients are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste and paying for any damages the pets may cause.

Barbecues and grills are to be used outside on the Firehouse driveway only.

No wood campfires, bonfires or wood fires of any kind are allowed anywhere at any time.

Renter will make sure their guests, invitees, employees, etc, abide by all venue rules and requirements.

The stated number of guests, invitees, and employees cannot be exceeded.

All vehicles need to be parked in the designated parking area.

 

No vehicles may be parked within 15 feet of the Helipad, on the Helipad, or on Engineers Road. A clear path to the Helipad must be maintained. Carpooling is encouraged.

Alcohol may not be served at event unless renter’s food caterer is in possession of a valid California liquor license that allows the food caterer to legally serve alcohol at a rented venue.

If renter’s food caterer has such a liquor license, champagne, wine, hard cider, and bottled beer may be served (NOT sold) at event.

No alcohol can be served after 8:30 PM.

No illegal substances are permitted.

You must ensure that sounds/noise are kept at a reasonably low level. 

You are responsible for set-up, take-down and clean-up.

Outside equipment rentals must be removed by 12:00 noon the day after the event.

All catering supplies and trash must be disposed of in the dumpster at the conclusion of the event. No trash receptacles, boxes of trash or trash bags may be left outside. All trash must be left in dumpster.

Venue must be returned in the same condition it was received.
